出21:1(CUV)你在百姓面前所要立的典章是這樣.

出21:1(NCV)你要在眾民面前訂立的典章是這樣的。

出21:1(CLV)以下是民眾所當遵守的律法:

出21:2(CUV)你若買希伯來人作奴僕、他必服事你六年、第七年他可以自由、白白的出去。

出21:2(NCV)如果你買希伯來人作奴僕,他要服事你六年;到第七年他可以自由出去,不必補償甚麼。

出21:2(CLV)倘若有人買了一個希伯來人作奴僕,他只須要服事主人六年,到了第七年,他就可以重獲自由,並不用支付任何贖價。

出21:3(CUV)他若孤身來、就可以孤身去.他若有妻、他的妻就可以同他出去。

出21:3(NCV)他若是單身來,就可以單身出去;他若是有婦之夫,他的妻子就可以和他同去。

出21:3(CLV)倘若買他的時候,他是單身的,那麼,以後無論他有沒有娶妻,到了期滿的時候,就只有他一個人可以獲得自由;但是,假如他是跟妻子一同被買的話,就可以帶妻子一起離開。

出21:4(CUV)他主人若給他妻子、妻子給他生了兒子、或女兒、妻子和兒女要歸主人、他要獨自出去。

出21:4(NCV)他的主人若是給他妻子,妻子又給他生了兒女,那麼妻子和兒女都要歸給主人,他自己要單獨出去。

出21:4(CLV)倘若是主人給他娶妻生子的,那麼,期滿的時候,他就只能單獨離開,他的妻兒是屬於主人的。

出21:5(CUV)倘或奴僕明說、我愛我的主人、和我的妻子兒女、不願意自由出去.

出21:5(NCV)如果那奴僕明明說:『我愛我的主人和我的妻子兒女,不願意自由出去。』

出21:5(CLV)可是,如果奴僕向主人表示寧願跟主人、妻子和兒女在一起,

出21:6(CUV)他的主人就要帶他到審判官那裏、〔『審判官』或作『 』.下同〕又要帶他到門前、靠著門框、用錐子穿他的耳朵、他就永遠服事主人。

出21:6(NCV)他的主人就要把他帶到審判官〔『審判官』原文作『 』〕那裏,又要把他帶到門前,或是門柱旁;他的主人要用錐子刺穿他的耳朵,他就要永遠服事他的主人。

出21:6(CLV)主人就要帶他到審判官的面前,靠著門框用錐子把他的耳朵刺穿,這樣,他就要永遠服事主人了。

 

 

婢女的條例

(出21:7-11)

出21:7(CUV)人若賣女兒作婢女、婢女不可像男僕那樣出去。

出21:7(NCV)如果有人把女兒賣作婢女,婢女不可像男僕那樣出去。

出21:7(CLV)倘若女子被賣作奴婢,她是不可以像男僕一樣,白白地得到自由的。

出21:8(CUV)主人選定他歸自己、若不喜歡他、就要許他贖身.主人既然用詭詐待他、就沒有權柄賣給外邦人。

出21:8(NCV)如果主人選定她歸自己,以後又不喜歡她,就要准她贖身;主人沒有權力可以把她賣給外族人,因為主人曾經欺騙了她。

出21:8(CLV)倘若主人選定她作自己的妻子,可是後來又不喜歡她,那麼,主人就應當讓她有贖身的機會;主人是沒有權力再把她轉賣給外族人的。

出21:9(CUV)主人若選定他給自己的兒子、就當待他如同女兒。

出21:9(NCV)如果主人選定她歸自己的兒子,就必須照著待女兒的規矩待她。

出21:9(CLV)倘若是買來作自己的兒媳婦的話,就要把她當作自己的女兒一般看待。

出21:10(CUV)若另取一個、那女子的喫食、衣服、並好合的事、仍不可減少。

出21:10(NCV)如果他另取一個妻子,那麼,對她的飲食、衣著和性的需要,仍然不可減少。

出21:10(CLV)假如有人娶了奴婢為妻,但後來又另娶,他還是有義務照常供給她生活所需用的一切和滿足她生理上的要求。

殺人之例

(出21:12-14)

出21:12(CUV)打人以致打死的、必要把他治死。

出21:12(NCV)打人以致把人打死的,必要把那人處死。

出21:12(CLV)毆打他人而導致死亡的,應處死刑。

出21:13(CUV)人若不是埋伏著殺人、乃是 神交在他手中、我就設下一個地方、他可以往那裏逃跑。

出21:13(NCV)人若不是蓄意殺人,而是 神交在他手中的,我就給你設立一個地方,他可以逃到那裏去。

出21:13(CLV)至於那些犯誤殺罪的,我會為他們安排一個地方,讓他們可以逃往那裏去得到庇護,因為是我把那人交在他手中的。

出21:14(CUV)人若任意用詭計殺了他的鄰舍、就是逃到我的壇那裏、也當捉去把他治死。

出21:14(NCV)若有人任意待他的鄰舍,用詭計把他殺了,你要把他從我的祭壇那裏拿去處死。

出21:14(CLV)倘若是有預謀地殺死鄰居的,那麼,就是他逃到我的祭壇那裏去,也要把他拉出來處死。

 

 

毆打父母的人應處死

(出21:15)

出21:15(CUV)打父母的、必要把他治死。

出21:15(NCV)打父母的,必要把那人處死。

出21:15(CLV)毆打父母的人應處死刑。

 

 

販賣人口的應處死

(出21:16)

出21:16(CUV)拐帶人口、或是把人賣了、或是留在他手下、必要把他治死。

出21:16(NCV)拐帶人口的,無論是把人賣了,或是還留在他手中,必要把那人處死。

出21:16(CLV)凡是綁架,無論目的是要把別人據為己有或是販賣出去的,應處死刑。

 

 

咒罵父母的人應處死

(出21:17)

出21:17(CUV)咒罵父母的、必要把他治死。

出21:17(NCV)咒罵父母的,必要把那人處死。

出21:17(CLV)咒罵父母的人應處死刑。

 

 

傷人者條例(出21:1 8-19)

出21:18(CUV)人若彼此相爭、這個用石頭或是拳頭打那個、尚且不至於死、不過躺臥在床、

出21:18(NCV)如果人彼此爭論,一個用石頭或拳頭打另一個,但他還沒有死,不過要躺在床上,

出21:18(CLV)人若彼此毆鬥,不論是用拳頭或是石塊以致一方受傷,但不至於死,只是躺臥床上,暫時失去工作能力,

出21:19(CUV)若再能起來扶杖而出、那打他的可算無罪.但要將他誤的工夫、用錢賠補、並要將他然醫好。

出21:19(NCV)以後,他若是能起來,能扶杖出外行走,那打他的就可算無罪,但要賠償他停工的損失,並且要把他完全醫好。

出21:19(CLV)又倘若日後他能再起床,扶著拐杖走路,那傷人的便不算有罪,只要賠償那人時間和金錢上的損失,並且照顧他直到痊愈便可以了。

 

 

打人死當受刑罰

(出21:20-21)

出21:20(CUV)人若用棍子打奴僕、或婢女、立時死在他的手下、他必要受刑。

出21:20(NCV)如果有人用棍打他的奴僕或婢女,以致死在他的手下,他必須受刑罰;

出21:20(CLV)倘若有人用棍子或其他硬物擊打他的奴僕或婢女,導致他們立刻死亡,他就應當受刑罰。

出21:21(CUV)若過一兩天纔死、就可以不受刑、因為是用錢買的。

出21:21(NCV)但如果他還活一兩天,那人就不必受刑罰,因為那奴僕是他的財產。

出21:21(CLV)但倘若傷者過了一兩天才死去,主人就可免刑,因為死者是他用錢買來的。

 

 

擊傷了孕婦必須受罰

(出21:22-24)

出21:22(CUV)人若彼此爭鬥、傷害有孕的婦人、甚至墜胎、隨後卻無別害、那傷害他的總要按婦人的丈夫所要的、照審判官所斷的受罰。

出21:22(NCV)如果人彼此爭鬥,擊傷了懷孕的婦人,以致流產,但沒有別的損害,那傷害她的必須按照婦人的丈夫要求的,和照著審判官斷定的,繳納罰款。

出21:22(CLV)倘若有人彼此毆鬥,傷了孕婦,引致流產,僥倖以後她身體無礙,那傷害她的人就只需按婦人的丈夫所要求的金額,經審判官判定認為合理以後,如數賠償便可以了。

出21:23(CUV)若有別害、就要以命償命、

出21:23(NCV)如果有別的損害,你就要以命償命,

出21:23(CLV)倘若婦人因傷致死,那麼,傷人的就要償命了。

出21:24(CUV)以眼還眼、以牙還牙、以手還手、以腳還腳、

出21:24(NCV)以眼還眼,以牙還牙,以手還手,以腳還腳,

出21:24(CLV)以上各種律法的原則是:以眼還眼,以牙還牙,以手還手,以腳還腳,

 

出21:25(CUV)以烙還烙、以傷還傷、以打還打。

傷人眼或牙之處置

(出21:26-27)

出21:26(CUV)人若打壞了他奴僕或是婢女的一隻眼、就要因他的眼放他去得以自由。

出21:26(NCV)如果有人擊打他奴僕的一隻眼,或婢女的一隻眼,把眼打壞了,就要因他的眼的緣故讓他自由離去。

出21:26(CLV)主人若打壞了奴僕或侍婢的一隻眼睛,主人就要因他的傷殘而釋放他,使他重獲自由。

出21:27(CUV)若打掉了他奴僕或是婢女的一個牙、就要因他的牙放他去得以自由。

出21:27(NCV)如果有人打落了他奴僕的一隻牙,或婢女的一隻牙,就要因他的牙的緣故讓他自由離去。

出21:27(CLV)同樣的,倘若他打掉了僕婢的一隻牙齒,他也要因他的牙而釋放他。

 

牲畜傷人的賠償條例(出21:28-36)

 

出21:28(CUV)牛若觸死男人或是女人、總要用石頭打死那牛、卻不可喫他的肉.牛的主人可算無罪。

出21:28(NCV)如果牛觸了男人或女人,以致死亡,那牛必須用石頭打死,只是不可吃牛的肉;牛的主人卻不必受刑罰。

出21:28(CLV)如果有牛牴死了人,不論死的是男是女,這頭牛也得用石頭打死;你們卻不要吃牠的肉。牛既然死了,牠的主人也就不用負任何責任了。

出21:29(CUV)倘若那牛素來是觸人的、有人報告了牛主、他竟不把牛拴著、以致把男人或是女人觸死、就要用石頭打死那牛、牛主也必治死。

出21:29(NCV)如果那牛以前常常觸人,牛主也曾經受過警告,他仍然不把牛拴好,以致觸死了男人或是女人,就要用石頭把那牛打死,牛主也必要處死。

21:29(CLV)可是,如果牛曾經用角傷人,又已經有人向牛的主人投訴過,但他卻置若罔聞,不把牛拴好,以後牛若是牴死了人,主人就必須負責任。除了要用石塊把牛打死以外,主人也要判處死刑;

出21:30(CUV)若罰他贖的銀價、他必照所罰的、贖他的命。

出21:30(NCV)如果給他提出贖金,他就必須照著提出的數量全數繳付贖命金。

出21:30(CLV)就是不判死罪,他也得付出金錢來買贖自己的性命,不論金額多少,他也得照付。

出21:31(CUV)牛無論觸了人的兒子或是女兒、必照這例辦理。

出21:31(NCV)牛無論觸了兒子,或是觸了人的女兒,都必須照著這定例辦理。

出21:31(CLV)牛若是牴死了人家的兒女,也得依照以上的規例辦理。

出21:32(CUV)牛若觸了奴僕或是婢女、必將銀子三十舍客勒給他們的主人、也要用石頭把牛打死。

出21:32(NCV)如果牛觸了人的奴僕,或是婢女,必須把三百四十克銀子給他的主人,那牛也必須用石頭打死。

出21:32(CLV)牛若是牴死了人家的奴僕或婢女,那麼,牛的主人只要賠三十塊銀子給奴婢的主人就可以了;但牛卻仍然要用石頭打死。

出21:33(CUV)人若敞著井口、或挖井不遮蓋、有牛或驢掉在裏頭。

出21:33(NCV)如果有人把井敞開,或是有人挖了井,而不把井口遮蓋,以致有牛或驢掉進裏面,

出21:33(CLV)如果有人忘記了把井口蓋上,或挖井的時候不把井口蓋好,以致有牛或驢掉進井裏喪生,

出21:34(CUV)井主要拿錢賠還本主人、死牲畜要歸自己。

出21:34(NCV)井主要賠償,要把銀子還給牛主或驢主,死的牲畜可以歸自己。

出21:34(CLV)井的主人就要賠償牲畜的主人,牲畜的屍體則交由井的主人處置。

出21:35(CUV)這人的牛若傷了那人的牛、以致於死、他們要賣了活牛、平分價值、也要平分死牛。

出21:35(NCV)如果有人的牛傷了他鄰舍的牛,以致死亡,他們要把活牛賣了,平分銀子,也要平分死牛。

出21:35(CLV)假若某人的牛牴傷了別人的牛,以致牠傷重斃命,兩家的主人就賣掉生牛,平分所得的金錢,同時也要平分那頭死掉的牛,

出21:36(CUV)

 人若知道這牛素來是觸人的、主人竟不把牛拴著、他必要以牛還牛、死牛要歸自己。

 如果人知道那牛以前常常觸人,牛主竟不把牛拴好,他必須賠償,以牛還牛,死的可以歸自己。

Hebrew Servants(Exo 212-11

Exodus 21:2(KJV)If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

Exodus 21:2(NIV)"If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years. But in the seventh year,he shall go free, without paying anything.

Exodus 21:3(KJV)If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.

Exodus 21:3(NIV)If he comes alone, he is to go free alone; but if he has a wife whenhe comes, she is to go with him.

Exodus 21:4(KJV)If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself.

Exodus 21:4(NIV)If his master gives him a wifeand she bears him sons or daughters, the woman and her children shall belong to her master, and only the man shall go free.

Exodus 21:8(NIV)If she does not please the master who has selected her for himself, he must let her be redeemed. He has no right to sell her to foreigners, because he has broken faith with her.

Exodus 21:9(KJV)And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.

Exodus 21:19(KJV)If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.

Exodus 21:19(NIV)the one who struck the blow will not be held responsible if the other gets up and walks around outside with his staff; however, he must pay the injured man for the loss of his time and see that he is completely healed.

Exodus 21:20(KJV)And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.

Exodus 21:20(NIV)"If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished,

Exodus 21:21(KJV)Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.

Exodus 21:21(NIV)but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.

Exodus 21:22(KJV)If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

Exodus 21:22(NIV)"If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman's husband demands and the court allows.

Exodus 21:23(KJV)And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,

Exodus 21:24(KJV)Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

Exodus 21:27(NIV)And if he knocks out the tooth of a manservant or maidservant, he must let the servant go free to compensate for the tooth.

Exodus 21:28(KJV)If anox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit.

Exodus 21:28(NIV)"If a bull gores a man or a woman to death, the bull must be stoned to death, and its meat must not be eaten. But the owner of the bull will not be held responsible.

Exodus 21:29(KJV)But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.

Exodus 21:29(NIV)If, however, the bull has had the habit of goring and the owner has been warned but has not kept it penned up and it kills a man or woman, the bull must be stoned and the owner also must be put to death.

Exodus 21:30(KJV)If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him.

Exodus 21:30(NIV)However, if payment is demanded of him, he may redeem his life by paying whatever is demanded.

Exodus 21:31(KJV)Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him.

Exodus 21:31(NIV)This law also applies if the bull gores a son or daughter.

Exodus 21:32(KJV)If the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.

Exodus 21:32(NIV)If the bull gores a male or female slave, the owner must pay thirty shekels of silver to the master of the slave, and the bull must be stoned.

Exodus 21:33(KJV)And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein;

Exodus 21:33(NIV)"If a man uncovers a pit or digs one and fails to cover it and an ox or a donkey falls into it,

Exodus 21:34(KJV)The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.

Exodus 21:34(NIV)the owner of the pit must pay for the loss; he must pay its owner, and the dead animal will be his.

Exodus 21:35(KJV)And if one man's ox hurt another's, that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide.

Exodus 21:35(NIV)"If a man's bull injures the bull of another and it dies, they are to sell the live one and divide both the money and the dead animal equally.

Exodus 21:36(KJV)Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shallbe his own.

Exodus 21:36(NIV)However, if it was known that the bull had the habit of goring, yet the owner did not keep it penned up, the owner must pay, animal for animal, and the dead animal will be his.
